Update: I've fixed the header misalignment in IE6. The template should be okay now with all browsers.
The theme of this template is neat and simple. The color combinations are light and the columns are structured in neat/clean boxes. There are lots of popular web designs out there that are based on simplicity and cleanliness, rather than clogged design.
Don't be misjudged by the simplicity. If you want to revamp the whole look, you can change them easily in the Layout Panels.
The added functionality of this template is the Menubar (as usual), the flexible number of side columns (either 1, 2, or 3), and the Google Search Box (at the top-right corner). To add the Google Search Box
